Quarterback Brad Strauss completed 12 of 19 passes, threw for two touchdowns and ran for another in pacing Lawrence High’s football team to a 21-12 lead over Shawnee Mission West at halftime of Friday’s game at LHS.

The game had a 45-minute delay at halftime because the lights on one side of the field went out.

In Olathe, Free State trailed Olathe South at halftime, 14-7.
