Local sustainability advocacy group Transition Kaw Valley will hold a free home energy conservation and weatherization workshop from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at 1510 E. 13th St.

Russ Rudy, Buildings Program Manager with the Kansas Energy Office, will lead the workshop. He’ll give weatherization and other energy-saving tips for older homes especially, using the location of the workshop as a model, said Michael Morley, the event’s organizer.
