To the editor:

I have always taken great pride and felt such fortune to have been raised, educated and, in addition, experienced a wonderful career in Lawrence. As a Lawrence High School alumnus, it does my heart good to see the community benefit from the first class athletic venues at LHS. If you haven’t visited LHS recently, I encourage you to take a trip to Lawrence High School any evening to see the campus improvements and witness the community benefiting from the new fields and track.

In this regard, I would like to thank USD 497 leadership and the board of education for their vision and the many local donors who shared a dream to complete this project with dedication and excellence.
