Downtown: Why have sawtooth curbs that have had hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on repairs? The 600 block of Massachusetts works fine with a straight curb, angled parking and trees. Lawrence ain’t smart!

School district: How much money will it take to get the district to leave us alone. Many do not make $350,000 a year as some at Kansas University. Here’s the deal: How much more does the district want from a Social Security check of $1,058 a month? Just tell me! School district ain’t smart.

City Commission: Over 20 vacant buildings downtown, more to come. Car club wants to do a show. Club told “no.” Lawrence is not business friendly. Commission ain’t smart.

All that money on Smart Growth and still no smarts.

P.S. — Take some of that broken concrete from the curbs downtown mix with tar and fill potholes. That is smart!
