Immediate needs

• Midnight Farm is looking for a few volunteers who can come to the farm on weekends and help maintain its greenhouse. Midnight Farm is a program of Community Living Opportunities and provides adults with developmental disabilities a natural oasis to enjoy. Volunteers are needed to help with a variety of tasks for the event, which will take place at the Lawrence Rotary Arboretum Park, south of the intersection of Wakarusa Drive and Kansas Highway 10. Contact Peninah Blumhagen at 785-248-3504 for more information.

Several shifts at both the Maine Street and West information desks are currently opening, including four 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. shifts throughout the week. Oncology volunteers help to “pamper the patient and support the staff” by providing assistance in a number of ways. Currently, two shifts need to be filled in the oncology department: Mondays, noon to 4 p.m and Fridays, 8 a.m. to noon. Contact Allyson Leland at 785-505-3141 or allyson.leland@lmh.org.
