Upcoming Lawrence sister city meetings open to public
Two support groups for Lawrence sister cities have scheduled meetings this week.
At 7 p.m. today at the Max Kade Center, 1132 W. 11th St., the support group for events and activities related to Eutin, Germany, will meet.
Items on the agenda include a discussion of a summer program involving KU music students traveling to Eutin and a discussion of internships and other summer programs.
At 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt., the support group for events and activities related to Hiratsuka, Japan, will meet.
They will update events in Hiratsuka related to the earthquake and tsunami in the country, student travel plans and Japan aid fundraising opportunities.
Both meetings are open to the public.
