• Alison and Rob Kiefer represented Kief’s Audio/Video at a roundtable discussion hosted by Jeremy Burkhardt, president and CEO of the Speakercraft Company, June 9 in Overland Park.

Selected Midwestern audio and video retailers were introduced to Speakercraft’s new product lines and contributed to sales and marketing discussions.

• OrthoKansas P.A. has teamed up with KU Credit Union as a participant in the fifth annual School Supply Drive.

From June 1 through July 31, OrthoKansas PA will collect school supplies that will be presented to Lawrence public school teachers at the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year.

In addition, OrthoKansas PA is offering a 10 percent discount on all of its pool memberships for those who donate supplies.

• Kimberly Kearse-Lane, owner/agent of Mutual Security Ins. LLC, opened a new insurance agency on May 15 in Lawrence. The agency is located at 4105 W. Sixth St., Suite A-6.

• Kansas Children’s Service League has named Dona Booe of Meriden as its CEO.

Booe has served as KCSL’s vice president of programs services for the past five years. She assumes the president/ CEO position from Janet Schalansky, who had served in this capacity since 2007.

• This summer the Belger Arts Center will display more than 70 prints in The Lawrence Lithography Workshop: Suites and Portfolios.

Suites and Portfolios is a collaboration between the Belger Arts Center, TLLW and the Wichita Art Museum.

The exhibition will open Friday and run through Oct. 7. An opening reception will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

The Lawrence Lithography Workshop began in 1979 in the basement of 7 E. Seventh St. in downtown Lawrence.
