Pleasant visit

To the editor:

My wife and I just spent the better part of three days in Lawrence and loved being there. We stayed at the Eldridge (loved the restaurant and bar) so could just walk out the front door and head to shopping or dining or, in my case, the Lawrence Arts Center for a meeting. Walking up and down Massachusetts Street is a treat. The buildings are interesting as are the stores and restaurants. Spectators, Wink, the Dusty Bookshelf, Love Garden Sounds, Waxman and the restaurant 715 were all terrific. Many communities do not have vibrant downtown cores; Lawrence does. And we noticed the city is investing in the continued beauty by improving the streetscape. We are looking forward to our next trip.
