Wrong solution
Memo to Westar: Many of us who live in Old West Lawrence recall that, during the winter of 2009-10, your company undertook a program to help avoid or at least reduce electrical service outages. The program involved the removal or mutilation of dozens of fine old trees along Seventh Street. Now, in the spring of 2011, we are having more outages than ever before, and the weather hasn’t even gotten hot yet. So, it appears the trees weren’t the problem. Whom do we talk to about getting them back?
