Traditional Indonesian dances to highlight international culture event on KU campus
Eighteen Indonesian students studying English at Kansas University are scheduled to perform dances and display traditional costumes at an event Wednesday evening on the KU campus.
They will be joined by Fulbright students from 23 countries across the world, who will have tables set up with information from their own cultures.
The event is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in front of Lewis Hall, 1530 Engel Road.
Geri Lamer, program coordinator for KU’s Applied English Center, said the Indonesian students were the ones who had the idea to organize the event.
It is free and open to the public.
