Active group

To the editor:

Thank you very much for the recent article about the Endacott Society, the club for faculty and staff retirees (and spouses) of the University of Kansas. Several interest groups were mentioned, but not all of the 15. I would like to list them here: Afternoon Lecture Series (a.k.a. birthday party and lecture); Arm Chair Travel, presentations by members about their travels; Card & Game Theory, developing bridge and Scrabble skills; Foreign Policy Discussion; Drama Study; Evening Lecture Series, potluck supper and lecture; Great Books Study Group; Opera Study and Out-of-Town Travel. I would like to add that the Wednesday morning coffee hour meets weekly, not monthly.

Through these many activities and with the excellent cooperation of the Alumni Association, former employees of the university are able to “keep the little grey cells moving,” as that great fictional detective, Hercule Poirot, would say.
