Great display

To the editor:

For anyone with an interest in early Kansas history, we suggest a visit to the new Kansas Territory history rooms in the renovated and newly opened Carnegie Library Building. Magnificent displays of pictures and vignettes of leading Kansas Territory participants provide an intriguing history of the tumultuous days known as “Bleeding Kansas” and the struggles to have Kansas admitted as a free state.

Thanks to Judy Billings, Deanell Tacha, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area, the city of Lawrence and all other contributors, planners and history lovers for creating this great historical display and for adding yet another outstanding attraction to what makes Lawrence such a great place to live.
