Douglas County prosecutors have filed 11 charges against a 48-year-old rural Lawrence man who sheriff’s officers used a Taser to subdue after he refused to obey their commands Wednesday afternoon after a 911 call.
According to court records, prosecutors charged Martin Dean Wales Thursday with aggravated battery, aggravated assault, intimidation of a witness or victim, criminal damage to property, domestic battery, making a criminal threat, three counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and two counts of interfering with duties of an officer.
Sheriff’s officers said they responded to a 911 hang-up call, and a woman left the house in the 1700 block of East 1350 Road, just east of Michigan Street in Lawrence. The woman was injured and taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Officers allege Wales refused to comply with demands to leave the house. The woman gave them a key, and officers subdued Wales with a Taser. They took him to be check at LMH before he was booked into Douglas County Jail.

Think I would pick the surety. It has to be less than $20,000! :)

3 counts of Aggravated Assault against Cops and only a Taser is used, no lethal force. Unless some dirtied, soiled underwear was submitted as evidence, this just may be stacking of charges because they can.... D O G P I L E !!!

The only thing wrong about stacking the charges in a DV is that LE does not do the same against one of their own.

There is no "they". The officers can arrest individuals on statutes they feel applicable. It is up to the DA to FILE the charges HE feels applicable...it is not up to the officers. Again...enough of the LPD slams. Stop embarrassing yourselves by not having your facts straight before you post.
