McGrew Real Estate to celebrate 60th anniversary by donating to local charities

McGrew Real Estate is celebrating its 60th anniversary by donating $4,000 to Lawrence-area charities and asking online voters to help determine how much money should go to each one.

Through July 14, visitors to AskMcGrew.com can vote for one of 11 community organizations. The first-, second- and third-place finishers will receive $1,000, $600 and $400, respectively; each of the other eight will get $250.

As of late Wednesday afternoon, the Lawrence Humane Society was in first, followed by Headquarters Counseling Center and Theatre Lawrence.

“This contest is one small way we can show our appreciation for the past and our optimism for the future,” said Gary Nuzum, McGrew’s senior vice president.
