— Brett Frantz hit five three-pointers and scored 21 points and Georgi Funtarov added 12, but Free State High’s boys basketball team fell to Shawnee Mission Northwest, 65-59, on Friday.

The game was a makeup of a contest originally scheduled for Jan. 11 that was postponed because of bad weather.

Free State — which has alternated wins and losses the past eight games — will host SM East on Friday.
