Topeka man sentenced in North Dakota for child porn
Fargo, N.D. ? A truck driver from Kansas who was caught at the U.S.-Canada border in North Dakota with child pornography has been sentenced to 6 ½ years in prison.
U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon says 27-year-old Kenneth Mahoney Jr. of Topeka, Kan., pleaded guilty last October to possession and transportation of child porn.
Purdon says that when Mahoney was stopped at the border, authorities confiscated a laptop computer, CDs and DVDs that contained nearly 6,500 images and 250 videos of child porn.
