A 40-year-old Baldwin City woman pleaded no contest to a criminal damage charge in connection with a May arson case.

Rose Mary Pettibon waived her right to a preliminary hearing and entered the plea Monday morning. District Judge Sally Pokorny is scheduled to sentence her Jan. 9, according to Douglas County District Attorney Charles Branson’s office.

Pettibon initially faced an arson charge for a fire May 24 at a Baldwin City residence.
