Emperor Trump

April 26, 2011

So who published it? They are right, unless someone does come up with something credible.

I am not a Trump fan, but he is not a dumb man. Egotistical perhaps, but not dumb. So I wonder why he is doing what he is doing if there is nothing there. We'll wait and see. It makes good entertainment.

somedude20 7 years, 1 month ago

Ego stroke. I heard he will announce his intentions on his TV show. A real presidential candidate would never do that. He is a joke and the only bigger joke is on those who think he should be prez

Brock Masters 7 years, 1 month ago

What I don't understand is that many, especially on the left, preach tolerance and inclusion, but so many people attack others just because they are different or do things differently.

Why attack Trump for doing what he is free to do? He is not hurting anyone so why the hate?

Not all ideas are equal.

We don't tolerate people who espouse benighted ideas. Nor should we.

Now should I make a blanket statement about all of you on the right? The people who are so accepting of change and new data. http://berkeley.edu/news/media/releases/2003/07/22_politics.shtml

So, what you're saying is that people on the right who are unaccepting in homosexuality are justified in excluding and discriminating against gays because they believe the behavior is morally lacking?

Sorry, I don't agree with you. Guess this person is just more tolerant than you. That is okay, I see accept and value you as a person with differing views.

It's like Palin. What's disturbing is how many conservatives take them seriously. It's a clear indicator y'all have leapt off the deep end.

jhawkinsf 7 years, 1 month ago

I'm conservative. I think Trump is a joke. A bad joke. Seems like you're painting with a awfully wide brush there.

Kirk Larson 7 years, 1 month ago

Did I say ALL? No, I said many. Like Born_Again apparently. Doesn't it concern you that Trump is currently the front runner?

jhawkinsf 7 years, 1 month ago

If Trump wins the nomination, I'll eat my laptop. If he wins the election, I'll move to Antarctica.

jafs 7 years, 1 month ago

If he wins the nomination, will you vote against him?

jhawkinsf 7 years, 1 month ago

I voted for Republican Gov. Bennett once when he ran against Democrat Vern Miller. To my horror, Bennett then went on to do all the things he said he would.
Now, I vote for the person that most represents my views. In the dozen or so presidential elections I've voted in, that's been two Democrats and zero Republicans. I always vote, If I'm alive in 2012 I will vote. It won't be for Trump. Antarctica is cold man.

jafs 7 years, 1 month ago

Fascinating - why would you vote for somebody if you didn't want them to do what they said they would do??

Most people complain in the other direction - they didn't do what they said they would.

jhawkinsf 7 years, 1 month ago

Do you remember Vern Miller (before your time? very early '70's). Vigilante Sheriff from Wichita. Reminds me of that sheriff in Arizona (can't remember his name off the top of my head). I wanted him governor less than I wanted Bennett, so I voted for the lesser of the two evils. After that, I decided to vote for people I agreed with, which are usually third party candidates or I write in votes. People say I'm throwing my vote away, but the other system didn't work too well.

jafs 7 years, 1 month ago

Before my time here in KS.

I see.

It's difficult to find a satisfying way to vote, I find. I generally vote for the major party candidate I find less objectionable.

Trump does not scare the daylights out of "the left," but the idea of a Trump presidency should frighten anyone with a lick of sense. The man is a belligerent blowhard bully and an ignorant buffoon. Put him in a delicate international situation and he would either crumble, or say something stupid and start another conflict.

Money plus power do not equal wisdom and intelligence.

Brock Masters 7 years, 1 month ago

Please, if you're going to criticize him, at least let the criticism be based in some truth. You don't think Trump has diplomacy skills? I am sure Trump has met with as many foreign nationals as the president if not more. The difference between Trump and Obama is that Trump woiuld not apologize for the US like Obama has repeatedly done.

jafs 7 years, 1 month ago

Please make sure that the Republican ticket in 2012 is Trump/Palin, or Palin/Trump.

somedude20 7 years, 1 month ago

Like! Even Jimmy Carter could beat that ticket (I liked JC only used him because the right dislikes him so much)

Bob_Keeshan 7 years, 1 month ago

I, too, have no records. I have some CDs and a bunch of mp3s.

What does that make me?

jhawkinsf 7 years, 1 month ago

I have records but can't find a needle for my turntable. Odd size, I guess.

just_another_bozo_on_this_bus 7 years, 1 month ago

Like Palin, Trump has discovered that any publicity is good for business-- especially if the business is being a loud-mouthed buffoon.

Brock Masters 7 years, 1 month ago

That might just be true, but then who is the fool, those that profit from the publicity or those that give it to them?

Brock Masters 7 years, 1 month ago

Bill? Bill Clinton, is that really you?

just_another_bozo_on_this_bus 7 years, 1 month ago

One definition of a fool is someone who so obviously worships a snakeoil salesman such as Trump.

To the editor: Donald Trump has a tower. Donald Trump has no clothes.

Well said, but to flesh it out just a bit: "The Donald" self promoting China bashing Birther campaign is about the best news the current administration could have ever hoped for.

"Barack Obama’s declining support in public-opinion polls makes some conservatives feel that his reelection hopes are doomed. But Donald Trump can be Barack Obama’s secret weapon in his fight to remain in the White House. The Donald can be his Trump card." http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/265588/obamas-trump-card-thomas-sowell

tolawdjk 7 years, 1 month ago

Maybe that is it. Maybe The Donald is a double agent. He only wants you to think that he's a serious Republican candidate so he can double cross the GOP and tank the election, thus serving his Democratic masters.

Not to put conspiracy theories any anyone's warm fertile heads.

kernal 7 years, 1 month ago

Perhaps Trump has inhaled too much of that hairspray for his comb over. Likely he goes through a pint a week.

verity 7 years, 1 month ago

Very concise and to the point.

The Democrats couldn't have dreamed of a better scenario for getting Obama re-elected. As far as I can see, none of the potential Republican candidates have any clothes. (Well, except for the ones the Party bought for Ms. Palin---sorry, I just couldn't resist that.)

Jan Rolls 7 years ago

Now trump wants school records. Why don't you admit that no matter what Obama does it's wrong. For those of you working did your payroll tax go down? Some of you should just admit that you and trump just can't stand the fact that a black man is president and that's becuase you are racist. I don't remember you or anyone else including trump questioning mccain and he wasn't born in the U.S.
