Touching story
To the editor:
David Chartrand’s little story about his ailing Labrador dog (“A Dog’s Last Dream,” April 11) had me in tears. I don’t think of myself as a particularly emotional person, but this story nailed me. It works whether you’re a dog or cat person and it brought back many fond and painful memories of old, dear and now-absent friends. In this era of ideological death matches and polarization, this story is a reminder of something simple and good that we all can share.
I hope you will carry more of his work in the future.
