Advertising waste
To the editor:
After receiving a number of these slick, partisan attack ads in the mail, I have a response for our professional politicos and their uncivil hatchet men. Every dollar you spend on these destructive fliers against your opponent is one less dollar that you might have contributed to reducing the budget deficit, helping our schools, or providing support to the impoverished. Politics should be about serving the people and not feeding your face at the public trough. Lawrence voters: Cast your ballot accordingly!
