A Douglas County organization that provides support for victims of sexual abuse will have a car show and music fest fundraiser Oct. 2 at Broken Arrow Park.
The GaDuGi SafeCenter’s event is scheduled to last from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the park, near 31st and Louisiana streets.
Vendors and several cars from the area will be featured throughout the day, as will several bands. It is free for the public to attend, said Christie Dobson, the center’s outreach coordinator.
“Funding is tighter than it has ever been,” she said. “And we need to support our programs, support victims and provide outreach.”
A half marathon originally scheduled for the event has been postponed until next year, Dobson said.

So? what will they be doing to raise funding, if it is free? And, will the cars just be cars from dealerships or will they actuallty be cool cars? Will the musicians be tasked to plead for funding over the PA system?

i had my old car there last year, will have one there again this year. Antiques, classics, hot rods, customs, sports car, etc., lots of neat cars to look at. they ask for a donation fron those showing cars and hope the people who come to look will also donate.it's a good car show/music event and well worth showing up for.
