Liberty, Mo. ? Free State High’s tennis team swept Liberty (Mo.) North, 9-0, in pool play at the Liberty Invitational Tennis Tournament on Saturday.

The Firebirds also defeated Springfield (Mo.) Kickapoo, 7-2, and advanced to the semifinals, but severe weather canceled the tournament. It will not be made up. Alexis Czapinski, Kelly Phipps and Libby Hillis, the top three FSHS singles players, all went 2-0 in their matches in the 12-team tournament.
