City commission agenda for September 14, 2010

Bottom line

City commissioners will consider approving the final design for the reconstruction of Kasold Drive from Clinton Parkway to 31st Street.

Background

The $6 million project will include making the road five lanes wide. The project will include a combination of a center-turn lane and a median. A large retaining wall and recreation path also will be moved to improve the site distance at 24th Street intersection. During the project, one-lane traffic in each direction will be maintained. The project is expected to be bid in November and could be completed by December 2011.
