Jon-Marc Thibodeau graduated Sept. 2 from the Interservice Physician Assistant Program. In training to become a physician assistant, Thibodeau completed a rigorous two-year program. The first year, phase 1, is taught entirely at the AMEDD center and school in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Phase 2 consists of clinical rotations throughout the MEDDAC. Thibodeau completed this phase at Fort Knox, Ky. Upon completion of Phase 2, the graduate is awarded a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska and is commissioned as a first lieutenant. Thibodeau will be assigned to the 1st BN26th Infantry RGT. 3rd BCT 1st ID, Fort Knox. Thibodeau, a 1992 graduate of Lawrence High School, is the son of Sharon and Joe Thibodeau, Lawrence.
