Lawrence High’s volleyball team will be the No. 3 seed, while Free State High will be the No. 4 seed when both teams play today in the Class 6A sub-state tournament at LHS.

Free State (14-21), led by seniors Elisa Coffey, Meaghan Holmes and Reilly Moore, will take on No. 5 Topeka High (13-20) at 2 p.m.

Lawrence High (18-16), with seniors Kendyll Severa, Karisa Sanders, Kiely Mosiman, Kelsey Broadwell and Nicole Bostick, will face No. 6 Olathe South (11-22) at 6 p.m.

The Lions advanced to the state tournament last year and fell in the first round.
