? A police officer and a suspect are being treated for gunshot wounds after a confrontation in a Kansas City, Kan., appliance store.

Police Capt. John Cosgrove says the officer was shot in the arm in the shootout late Thursday afternoon and appeared to be in stable condition. He says the suspect was in critical condition.
