Society lauded
To the editor:
I should like to thank the Lawrence Humane Society at 1805 E. 19th St. for the wonderful service it provides for many abandoned, often helpless, animals, by finding a home for as many as they can. They society has helped me and my family find a home for three different dogs in the past 30 years, and each pet has been a unique and friendly addition to our home. Of course, they need food, care and training, but each one has been a joy and a blessing.
Even if you can’t adopt a dog, a cat or other small animal at this time, I hope you will take time to stop by and thank them for their unselfish, truly humanitarian efforts.
