Looking to 2012

To the editor:

Now that the mass of America’s citizenry has recoiled against President Obama’s virulently aggressive form of socialism, perhaps the President and his (I suspect devastated) advisers can ready themselves for surrender to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s successive administration.

Looking particularly perky and always beautiful, our dear Sarah celebrated her many victories with incisive commentary and a wit almost completely absent from the dour Mr. Obama. Her effervescent nature and optimistic outlook will bring about a proverbial replacement of night with day and give Americans, once again, a Reagan-like ascendancy into our future. She asked, early on in the campaign, perhaps the most poignant and introspective of questions: “How’s that hopey-change working out for you?” This was, essentially, the equivalent of Reagan’s great intonation asking Americans if they were better off after four dismal years of Jimmy Carter’s scolding of those who would dare disagree with his failed progressive policies.

Those of us on the right never dreamed liberals would attempt to foist anyone as bad as Carter upon us again. If congratulations to other than the victorious Tea Partiers are in order, then we must issue words of congratulations to our Democrat adversaries (we eschew the term “enemies” unlike our angry chief executive) for having rejuvenated a partly largely written off after the usurpation of 2008.

Give the Tea Partiers two more years and they shall certainly win the Senate and replace the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue with a Mama Grizzly from Alaska’s many climes.
