Taken for a ride
To the editor:
Here’s an idea. Perhaps Mr. Lew Perkins can back up his crocodile tears with a donation to KU of, say, $3 million, since that’s the tip of the iceberg of the monetary damage this scandal has caused Kansas University and the state.
After all he was asleep at the wheel, and criminal activity in his department IS his responsibility. With the bloated salary he has received for several years now, that would barely be a blip in his bank account. But that won’t happen. It’s just another case of the rubes of Kansas being taken for a ride by high rollers.
