Lawrence woman reports personal property stolen

• A 20-year-old Lawrence woman reported Monday the burglary and theft of personal items from the 1600 block of Tennessee Street. According to police reports, the incident occurred between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:10 a.m. Monday. The items stolen from the car included clothing, a camera, jewelry, a phone, a purse, a paycheck and various cards, all valued at more than $1,250.

• A 55-year-old Atchison woman reported Sunday the theft of a washer and dryer from the 300 block of Clayton Court. According to police reports, the incident occurred between December 20, 2009, and 3 p.m. Sunday. The washer and dryer were valued at about $1,000.

• A 26-year-old Lawrence man reported Monday the burglary and theft of a laptop and camera from his car in the 1500 block of George Williams Way. According to police reports, the incident occurred between 10 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday. The items were valued at $2,000.

• A 58-year-old Lawrence man reported Monday the burglary and theft of two vehicles and an electrical box from the 600 block of North Second Street. According to police reports, the incident occurred between 2 p.m. Sunday and 8:45 a.m. Monday. The cars and electrical box were valued at about $8,700.

' between December 20, 2009, and 3 p.m. Sunday. The washer and dryer were valued at about $1,000.' Sounds like a landlord, good luck getting them convicted for that. I sure didn't have much luck, they were found innocent because I didn't say in the lease they couldn't take the stuff. Was told to go to small claims court but you have to be able to have them served by the sheriff's department and the sheriff's department won't serve them at work. No forwarding address and you are out of luck.
