Commission slant
To the editor:
I wonder whether city commissioners have made a requirement for businesses charging extra sales tax to post a prominent notice on the door that they are doing so. I doubt it. I will make a point to follow this and not patronize any businesses in these zones or any new ones that move into areas refurbished at taxpayer expense.
Given this, and the liberal tax abatement policy we have seen, it’s pretty clear whom the commissioners serve. They serve the people getting a free lunch and subsidized golf while mental health services are cut and potholes cover the roads. If you vote, remember this at election time.
