Burger restaurant to aid in food drive
A new burger restaurant in Lawrence is partnering with Ballard Community Services for a food drive.
The Smashburger restaurant, 4801 Bauer Farm Drive, is encouraging patrons to bring nonperishable food items to its location near Sixth Street and Wakarusa Drive.
Coca-Cola will match contributions with monetary support.
The food drive will begin today and will continue until the end of May.
