For the second time this week, the city showdown baseball game between Lawrence High and Free State has been postponed.

Originally scheduled for Monday, the game was pushed back to Wednesday. But more rain in the area Wednesday forced officials to move the game again.

The contest now will be played at 6 p.m. Friday at LHS.

Thursday, the Lions (10-8) and Firebirds (14-4) will hook up at Kansas University’s Hoglund Ballpark at 7 p.m. for a regularly scheduled contest. That game will be shown on Channel 6 via tape delay.
