Woman sentenced to 4 years for fatal fight

? A disturbance broke out Friday as a Topeka woman was sentenced to four years in prison in the death of one woman and the wounding of another during a fight in a bar parking lot.

Thirty-nine-year-old Tonya Michelle Sullivan was convicted earlier in the month of involuntary manslaughter and aggravated battery.

Prosecutors say Sullivan wounded 41-year-old Wendy Goles and 23-year-old Bonita Dawn-Nicole Thomas during a fight last year outside the Whiplash Bar and Grill.

Goles died from her injuries about three weeks later.

During the hearing, Goles’ son, Donald D. Thomas, yelled a profanity at Sullivan and had to be restrained. He was handcuffed, arrested and transported to jail.
