State sampler festival runs today, Sunday

About 300 exhibitors hailing from 200 communities will be represented at the Kansas Sampler Festival, which will be today and Sunday at Leavenworth’s Ray Miller Park, 4201 S. Fourth St.

The annual event, which moves from city to city on a two-year rotation, will be in Leavenworth for the first time. Shuttle service from other points in Leavenworth will take visitors to the festival grounds.

All things Kansas — food, exhibitors, entertainment, etc. — will be on display. Authors and historic performers will be at the event as well.

The opening ceremony is at 9 a.m. today and the festival will run until 5 p.m. The festival will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. For more information, go to kansassampler.org/festival.
