Davis paces FSHS girls at Seaman Relays

? Free State High’s Drue Davis won the pole vault, placed second in the 100-meter dash and fourth in the 200, and the FSHS team of Lynn Robinson, Rachael Schaffer, Lauren Wethington and Libby Wiebe won the 4X800-meter relay Friday at the Topeka Seaman Relays.

As a team, the Firebird girls placed fourth, while Lawrence High was 13th.

TaMiya Green was the Lions’ top finisher at third place in the 300 hurdles.

Keene Niemack gave the FSHS boys their best placing — second in the 400. Kain Anderson was third in the 3,200.

Austin Flory (third in the triple jump) and Blake Hocking (third in shot put) were Lawrence High’s top individual boys finishers.

Free State’s boys were sixth and LHS 10th of 17 teams.
