Lions’ swimmers take third place at home

Lawrence High’s Mallory Neet swims the breaststroke in the 200 individual medley. Neet took second place in the event on Tuesday at LHS.

Heather Cistola and Jessica Boyer each won two events to lead the Lawrence High girls swimming and diving team to a third-place finish on Tuesday at LHS.

Cistola won the 100 and 200 freestyle events in 56.72 and 2:00.38, respectively.

Boyer took first in the 100 butterfly (1:03.47) and 100 backstroke (1:09.00).

The Lions’ team of Boyer, Cistola, Mallory Neet and Katie Stites won the 200 freestyle relay and came in second in the 200 medley relay.

Mallory Neet also took second place in the 200 individual medley and third in the 100 breaststroke.
