Lawrence to have 2 Easter egg hunts

The city will host the annual Underwater Eggstravaganza at noon on Saturday at the Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive. The event allows children to hunt for Easter eggs in the city’s indoor swimming pool.

The cost to participate is $5. People can register at the door. But to participate in a craft session after the egg hunt, pre-registration is required. Register at www.lprd.org or at any Lawrence Parks and Recreation facility.

The city’s traditional egg hunt also will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at South Park. The annual Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza is expected to last until 3 p.m., and there is no fee to participate. The event is open to children ages 3 to 12. The event allows children to collect up to five eggs, and also includes games.
