Abortion ‘care’

To the editor:

Health care reform has passed. All of the quid pro quo deals have been struck. Now people will not die unnecessarily, each day, from lack of health insurance. Not health care, health insurance. The question is: Will this “reform” really do anything to reduce the number of unnecessary deaths?

Protection for the most vulnerable of our society, the unborn, is nonexistent in this legislation. If it were, Planned Parenthood would not be jumping up and clicking its heels over the wording of the law. The largest provider of abortions on this planet has publicly praised the new law for the increase in business it will be providing. Abortion is the bread and butter of this organization. It is the cash cow.

However, the silent among us continue to be slaughtered. Our society turns its collective heads and calls it “health care.” Rape is not sex. Stealing is not borrowing. Assault with a deadly weapon is not target practice. Abortion is not health care. If a medical textbook says that at the moment of conception a new life begins, ending it prematurely becomes murder.

And shame on anyone who would profit from this.
