The ‘monsters’

To the editor:

No matter your age or health, when the snowstorms arrive, you know you need to clear a path in your driveway, which extends across the walk to the street. And, heaven forbid, don’t forget that long sidewalk. The work is hard and tiring, and, having completed this, you return to the warmth inside and plop into the nearest chair.

Then you hear the awful roar. The “MONSTERS” are coming! With motors revving and the ugly large blade angled inward to the curb, it (they) pursues the run diligently. To the neighbors still trying to clear, don’t jump; run, the monsters are going to fill up your entrance with huge mounds of snow and ice. So much for all one’s hard work. You start all over again and hope to live another day without the roaring monsters.
