Sale to benefit Ballard Center

Money and food donated for entrance to the Just Between Friends sale this month will be donated to the Ballard Center.

The sale, which runs from March 19 and 20, is a consignment sale that resells children’s products. Entrance to the sale, which is in the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds Building 21-North, is $2 or a food donation.

Paul Youk, director of Ballard’s Human Service Programs, said the center’s pantry was in good shape, but food donations from the sale would help stock it even more.

“It is the continued support from organizations like this that help us continue to fulfill our mission,” Youk said.

Melinda Nunez, co-owner of Just Between Friends, said that any clothes from the sale that were marked as donations would also go to the Ballard Center.

“It’s a good place to be able to help them with their food pantry,” Nunez said. “It’s a way of connecting and helping out the community.”

Admission costs will also be donated to the center.
