While Thursday's 76-69 loss to Oklahoma State in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City, Mo., dashed its hopes of an NCAA Tournament berth, the Kansas University women's basketball team appears to be headed for the WNIT.

One year after reaching the WNIT championship game — a home loss to South Florida — the KU women will return to the field, KU coach Bonnie Henrickson announced after Thursday's loss to OSU.

Kansas, which sits at 15-15 overall, has lost six in a row and eight of its last 10 games.

KU officials said the Jayhawks likely would get a home game in the first round of the WNIT and that the game probably would be played Thursday at Allen Fieldhouse.

Mangino's record in football versus Bonnie's record in women's b-ball:

Why hasn't she been fired? Oh, yeah, might draw attention to the guy who hired her...

Why? To have a tournament with such horrible records in the tourney is ridiculous. Sorry 15-15 you need to stay home.

If we had been to a game or not its pointless. What I am saying is this is a sorry excuse for post season, there is nothing deserved with a 15-15 record. And was it 4 wins in conference? Its about as sad as if MLB expanded the playoffs and allowed the Royals in with 100 loses.
