A 51-year-old Olathe man collapsed of an apparent heart attack as he was nearing the finish of Saturday’s 5K Shamrock Shuffle run/walk, said Roger Browning, chairman of the Lawrence St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee.
Browning said some race participants with medical training immediately attended to the man before he was transported to an area hospital. Browning said Monday that the man was in stable condition.
