Stephen Hill and Sarah Hill-Nelson of the Bowersock Mills and Power Co. will be the guest speakers at Monday night’s meeting of the North Lawrence Improvement Association. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. at Peace Mennonite Church, 615 Lincoln St.
The speakers will discuss Bowersock’s proposal to build a new hydroelectric plant on the north side of the Kansas River.

That construction you see is actually work by the city to repair the dam itself. This proposal would build another power house on the north side of the river.

Permit them to build the power plant provided they take over maintenance of the dam.
