Just Food of ECKAN is in need of volunteers to help organize the pantry, between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays. Just Food also needs 10 volunteers on Wednesday, to work in its Mobile Food Pantry from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Mobile Food Pantry will operate around the first of each month. Immediate needs

• CLO’s Midnight Farm therapeutic horseback riding program is preparing to start a new session on March 22. An orientation for prospective volunteers is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Volunteers are needed to serve as side-walkers and lead walkers. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one day a week for a nine-week session. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday at various times throughout the day. For more information, call Bonnie Bruns as 979-1889 or e-mail bonniebruns@clokansas.org. • Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice Care is seeking hospice volunteers. They will work directly with patients and their families by providing patient companionship, respite care, and/or relief for a primary caregiver. Volunteers agree to provide at least one year of service. Prospective volunteers should have two to three hours at least one day a week when they can be available for patient visits.
