Iraqi War veteran Troy Yocum will be arriving at noon Sunday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, 138 Ala., as part of a fundraiser for military families.

Yocum, who is on a cross-country hike that began in April, was originally scheduled to arrive at 5 p.m.

Overall, the goal is to raise $5 million nationwide for the families of those in the military. Yocum plans to cover 30 states in his hike and average 20 miles per day. He is updating his progress through his web site, and via Twitter at @drumhike.
