Domestic violence center needs movers, painters

The Willow Domestic Violence Center is moving to a new office space on Moodie Road, southwest of 19th Street and Haskell Avenue. Help is needed this week with moving and with painting. Times are flexible. Contact Nijah Fudge at 331-2034 or nfudge @willowdvcenter.org if you can give a few hours (or more!) of assistance.

Immediate needs

• Lawrence Community Theatre seeks enthusiastic, reliable and fun camp counselors for its kids summer theater program. The counselors will help kids to design, rehearse and perform a play at the camp, which runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 28 through July 2. Volunteers are welcome as their schedule allows, any time during the week. For more information, contact Hailey Gillespie at yeplawrence@gmail.com.

• Trinity In-Home Care, the largest direct care organization in Douglas County, is expanding its services to include on-site drop-in child care services and in-home, cost-free elderly companionship services. Volunteer positions include child care support volunteer, elderly companion and office/ administrative support volunteer. Responsibilities and time commitment vary by position.
