Two more Republicans enter U.S. Senate race in Kansas

? Two more candidates are running for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate in Kansas.

Former Kansas Attorney General Robert Londerholm and Mound City accountant Tom Little filed Thursday, shortly before the noon filing deadline.

U.S. Reps. Jerry Moran and Todd Tiahrt already have filed for the GOP nomination and have been campaigning for months. Five Democrats also have filed.

They’re all seeking the seat held by U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback, a conservative Republican who’s running for governor this year.

Londerholm served as attorney general from 1965 to 1969 and was later a member of the state Racing Commission.

Little ran unsuccessfully for a state House seat in 2002 and a state Senate seat in 2004.
