A 20-year-old Spring Hill man reported being robbed by several men after accepting a ride home from a downtown Lawrence bar early Sunday morning.

A Lawrence police spokeswoman said the incident occurred about 2:45 a.m. after the victim left the Tonic Lounge in the 700 block of Massachusetts in a car with four men. Police said the victim knew two of the people in the car.

At some point in the ride, the victim took out his wallet. Police said one of the men grabbed the money and demanded all of the victim’s cash. The victim got out of the car and ran.

Police said the incident happened in the area between Eighth and Ninth streets near Connecticut or New Hampshire.

Police are still looking for the suspects involved in the robbery.
