Report will look at city overtime
City commissioners sometime this month are expected to receive a report on the city’s varied polices for overtime work.
Different departments in the city have different policies related to when their employees can work overtime. The issue has come up as part of an audit the city conducted on the Solid Waste Division.
Commissioners were told Tuesday evening that staff members are preparing a report that looks at ways to create more uniformity in the city’s overtime policies, and will compare the city’s use of overtime with overtime practices in other communities.
